![]() ![]() Straight copying to the directory like this (without using the xmb) may also require you to rebuild the database via the recovery menu before the save data will be recognized on the xmb."Įdit: This did fix the error, I was able to activate my system. You may need to hex edit some of the save data before your ps3 can use it. However, most games will not load save data unless it reports back as being created by that certain user. I was using this information as a guide, don't have any experience with the hex editing though: "The ps3 stores the save data in 'hdd0/home/00000001/savedata' where '00000001' is the unique user id number (the offline accounts on your ps3 in order of date created). I did this btw because supposedly deleting the user and recreating it fixes the 80029519 error. Does anyone know how to hex edit save data so it works with "new" user? I backed up all the save data that I could with copy multiple and also ftp the data from /home so I could recover the ones that were copy locked, then I deleted the user and recreated it with the same name and copied /home back and rebuilt the data base but there still isn't anything listed in save data for the new user of same name.
